The design respects the existing marl walls from the 18th century. The spaces divided by these walls are perceived as individual “rooms” (halls). A different geometrical shape, i.e. rectangle, oval and trapezium, is incorporated in each of these three halls. This gives individual parts of the park their distinct atmospheres. Solitaire walls placed irregularly throughout the park are the shared feature of all “rooms” that unite the park’s geometry. Made of atmofix steel these walls are used as a background for design elements that bear wooden benches or are a part of newly designed structures. The walls run in a north-south direction and most of them have their own tree – a decorative apple tree. The main entrance area near the provost church is essentially the fourth “room” without any new geometrical shape.
